Our Philosophy


 

Our know-how, our love for Greece and tourism, our co-operation with our clients who are hotel-owners as well as the manifestation of the market and its needs in tourism was the inspiration for the creation of an innovative and friendly system for booking and promoting lodgings.

 


Why a different booking system?

We aim primarily at creating the Greek solution, with accurate information, a fair, objective, ever evolving and most of all up to date service, that offers solutions to hotel owners and visitors alike, contributes to the competitiveness of lodgings and the country’s economy.

It is a new idea, an innovation in booking, regarding separate lodgings/hotels and hotel chains as well. It has been designed to cover existing and emerging needs of the lodgings owners and of the potential clients.


Lodgings owners have to put up with a major problem which is also a danger to their viability, namely the low to nonexistent and in any case insufficient net profit per room after taxes and other obligations have been met.

  • With us, the lodgings owners can rid themselves of the online travel agents, reduce the cost of stay, promote more effectively their product/service, with the ultimate goal of raising the average rate of bookings and consequently see their profits rise.

 


The visitors, on the other hand, are usually disillusioned after checking in. Most probably this is their biggest problem after visiting the lodgings they have booked. The wording may vary but for years now the meaning is always the same: the initial enthusiasm was replaced by frustration and disappointment.

  • We are determined to change this; the visitor is given a grand tour of the lodgings and the rooms via 3D virtual tour 360ο. It is as if he has actually been there, so that he knows beforehand exactly what to expect. Through 3D virtual tour 360ο the ratio between financial offer, quality and real value of the services purchased is made clear to the visitor.


 


Today, another issue is the visitor’s purchasing power that keeps dropping… Μany visitors find the prices prohibitive and they get disappointed. They keep on putting off their commercial, social and personal obligations. If they eventually decide on a vacation, most of them cut down on the days whereas a few others decide to put off entirely their vacations for yet another year!!!

  • We ask the visitor to state the desirable price for the room according to his means, so that he can claim his booking.
  • We change the booking procedure by introducing the deal of negotiating a better price! In other words the visitor can negotiate the price with the hotel owner and together they can come up with the best solution.

“Everybody ‘should’ visit our Greece”

Once upon a time, the foreigners who visited our country were motivated by romanticism, knowledge of the classics and admiration, feeling respectful towards the then contemporary Greece. Therefore they were not simple tourists but travelers, seeking not so much material pleasures but spiritual ones, pleasures of the soul. Their stay boosted the country’s economy and at the same time they also promoted the country’s image abroad.

Destination Greece is not the fulfillment of a spiritual need any more; for the new generation of travelers, the tourists, the visit to our country is just a need for change and for letting out steam.

Because we are responsible for the tourists we attract and for those who leave, if we intend to give a – so much needed – helping hand to Greece’s one and only heavy industry which is tourism and hotels, we will have to change our way of thinking, we will need a different approach and attitude, both based on respect for our own history, not on a never ending quest for profit.
